Prosthetic dentistry
Prosthetic dentistry involves the restoration of lost or badly damaged teeth. We offer the following services:
- crowns and bridges from various materials (ceramics and more)
- esthetic veneers, onlays and inlays
- removable restorations, including hybrid restorations
- comprehensive prosthetic works as agreed and/or needed
- protective splints for athletes
We also make standard and above-standard, highly esthetic prosthetic restorations: crowns and bridges from metal-ceramics, metal-free ceramics from the Inceram system, esthetic removable restorations anchored by attachments.
Endodontic treatment
Endodontics is a dental specialty treating the dental root system. Dental cavities, when not treated in time, reach the pulp cavity and cause acute or chronic inflammation of the pulp. Acute inflammation is associated with severe and difficult-to-relieve pain.
Pulp inflammation is treated by removing the content of the pulp cavity and root canal and then undertaking a thorough mechanical and chemical cleaning of the tooth. This is followed by hermetic closure of the root canal. The entire procedure is done under local anesthesia to provide maximum comfort for the patient. If not treated, inflammation of the pulp may lead to the destruction of the root canal tissue and necrosis.
The therapy in this phase is similar to that mentioned above, comprising thorough cleaning and filling of the canals. However, the time that has elapsed since the destruction of the pulp plays a role. Necrotic tissue has an infectious effect and can become a source of complications in the future, such as the development of granulomas known as dental fistula.
In acute cases, the patient comes with swelling and pain and the tooth may even have to be extracted. This depends on the tooth type, extent of the inflammation, and overall health of the patient.
Surgery
Our dental office provides a wide range of surgical procedures. The most important procedures are listed below:
- Simple extraction – we undertake a simple extraction only if absolutely necessary, when the tooth cannot be treated otherwise and for teeth with severe periodontitis.
- Complicated extraction - of teeth that have failed to grow or only grew partially. This most often applies to the wisdom teeth or supernumerary teeth in young patients.
- Root apex resection – we undertake this procedure if there is any chance of saving the tooth. Before the procedure, we have to anesthetize the tooth and provide appropriate endodontic treatment.

Tooth whitening
Tooth whitening at the dental office is a very popular and completely safe procedure, if certain rules are followed. We recommend that tooth whitening be performed only on well-treated teeth and preferably at the dental office rather than non-professionally at home.
Tooth whitening at the dental office can safely lead to whitening by 8 to 9 shades in two hours, which is indeed a significant change.
Whitening of individual darker teeth
The whitening of individual stained teeth is also possible. This whitening is performed by placing a whitening insert into a dead tooth (walking bleaching), and this procedure takes several weeks. The result is highly satisfactory because a tooth, which may have been dark for many years, is no longer distinguishable from the remaining teeth.
Dental hygiene
Our dental office also offers dental hygiene services to prevent periodontal disorders. These can include the removal of staining and tartar above and below the gumline.
Often, little work is required – such as a simple removal of stains caused by coffee, cola, tea or smoking – for you to go home with a radiant smile.
Tooth jewelry …. the little detail that adds to a beautiful smile
The application of a small decoration such as glass crystals or golden jewels is increasingly in demand from our clients. This above-standard cosmetic procedure is safe and painless. No hard dental tissues are lost during the application. The jewel is “glued” to the tooth using a special bonding material. The durability of the jewel varies; often it will stay on for several years. It can be safely removed or replaced by another one at any time.
A wide range of jewels is available; the most popular choice is crystals in various colors.
