Laboratory provides high-quality services for Medicentrum physicians as well as for other regional physicians. Examination results are provided maximum within 1 hour in emergency cases and within couple of hours in other cases but always at that day.
It performs biochemistry, immuno-chemistry, serological, haematological, coagulation and molecular genetic assays for examination of individual parameters in whole blood, serum, plasma, stool and urine.
Even thought this facility functions primarily as a diagnostic tool for general practitioners and outpatient specialists, it can performed based on client´s request (without recommendation from general practitioner) wide spectrum of examination for direct payment which include assessment of laboratory results by our physician.
Proximate part of laboratory is a collection facility which ensures rapid proceeding of samples without inefficient delays. Our clients are provided with modern equipped collecting rooms and friendly experienced personnel. Collections are performed using the state-of-art safety systems. It ensures minimal pain and client protection.
Head of the department is RNDr. Petr Bořil. This highly experienced biochemist with experience in Regional Hospital Kladno worked number of years as university teacher and he is currently regional consultant of the Czech Society for Clinical Biochemistry society of Czech Medical Society of J. E. Purkyně. He gives lectures and publishes in scientific national and international journals.
Modern technique
Newly established clinical laboratory equipped with the state-of-art technologies fulfils high demands for correct and rapid diagnostics.
Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Haematology of Medicentrum Beroun Ltd. was established in the first half of 1980s at Policlinic Beroun. It was moved to newly built premises in 2007 and it was completely modernised – it is fully automated and equipped with state-of-art technologies. Operation is controlled by Satpro new generation information system. Biological material is processed in closed tubes labelled with bare code. Connection of integrated system of analysers with information system enables accepting requests, analysing them, controlling and issuing of results in electronic as well as in written form practically without using human hand.
Laboratory performs wide range of examination from biochemistry, immuno-chemistry, haematology and molecular genetics. To perform the last mentioned analysis laboratory is equipped as the first facility in the Czech Republic with fully automated device from Abbott Company.
It processes samples collected at collection facility of Medicentrum Brno as well as requests of contracting physicians from Beroun region and from Medicentrum detached facility – Dermato-venerology Clinic in Prague 5, Kartouzská Street.
